Thurman Studios
was established in April, 1969. There was such a
demand for the fine color photography created by Thurman, a
studio became necessary. The studio was opened at
5302 Chestnut Street in Philadelphia.
Thurman, a Penn
State Graduate, had completed courses at Winona
School of Photography in Indiana and also at Kodak's technical
center in Rochester, New York. He also regularly attends
seminars all over the country pertaining to his
specialties. Until recently, he was an adjunct
college professor in photography.
Thurman's
accomplishments are widely recognized. Thurman
has photographed the famous Martin Luther King to
John Glenn, the astronaut, movie stars, soap stars,
President Clinton and 2 Mayors of Philadelphia.
He has also been approved by the city. June
2005 acclaiming to
his skill as a photographer and his contributions to
the city serving them in the neighborhood
with photographs of excellence.
His work has
appeared in the New York Times, the Washington Post,
the Philadelphia Inquirer, etc. The magazines he is proud of are
Fortune Magazine, Town and Country Magazine, Modern
Bride Magazine, Ebony Magazine, Jet Magazine, etc.
He has sold graduation pictures to the
graduates of our
public and parochial and Muslim schools since 1969.
Also including graduation photography for both
high school and college. He has also sold
class rings for 34 years.

Thurman Studios offers a style of graduation
photography
that cannot be done in school. We offer many styles
and poses that we create in our studio. We are
